Legal
Privacy policy
Last updated: September 27, 2026.
This policy explains what personal information I collect, what I use it for, who I share it with, and how you can exercise your rights. It follows Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties. The Spanish version is the aviso de privacidad.
Who is responsible for your information
Gustavo Adolfo Carreño Monroy, a sole proprietor doing business as Carreño and carreno.com, located in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. For anything related to this policy, contact gustavo at carreno.com.
What I collect
Only what you give me when you get in touch or hire a service:
- Identification and contact details: name, phone number, email, company and job title.
- What you tell me about your business in a message, a form or a phone call.
- Call recordings and transcripts, when an automated assistant answers the call. The call itself tells you before it starts.
- Billing details, if you hire a service: legal name, tax ID and billing address.
I do not collect sensitive data such as health information, ethnic origin, beliefs or biometric data. Please leave it out of your messages.
How I use it
To serve you, I use your information to:
- Reply to you, answer your questions and schedule a conversation.
- Show you a demonstration of a service, such as an assistant that answers phone calls.
- Provide, quote, invoice and collect payment for the service you hire.
- Send you reminders and updates about an appointment or an ongoing service.
I may also send you occasional news about my services. You can opt out of that at any time, without affecting anything else, by emailing me or replying STOP to a text message.
Text messages
If you give me your mobile number and agree to receive text messages (SMS), I use it only for the purposes above. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
To stop receiving texts, reply STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP. The full conditions are in the terms and conditions.
Who I share it with
I do not sell personal information. I rely on service providers that store or process your information on my behalf and under my instructions, and that are bound to protect it:
- The customer engagement platform that holds contacts, forms, messages and calls (HighLevel, with its telephone carriers).
- Email and document services (Google Workspace) and messaging (WhatsApp, by Meta).
- The artificial intelligence services an automated assistant uses to converse, transcribe or summarize a call.
- The server that hosts this website (DigitalOcean).
Several of these providers are in the United States, so your information may be stored outside Mexico. Beyond them, I share your information only when a competent authority requires it under the law.
This website
carreno.com uses no cookies, no forms and no tracking software, and stores no information about its visitors. The one exception: if you arrive from a Google ad, your browser remembers that while the tab stays open, and the handoff page may load the Google Ads measurement tag, which tells Google a contact happened.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to its use, withdraw your consent or limit its use. To do so, email me with your name, what you are asking for, and an ID that shows you are the person, or that you represent them.
I will reply within twenty business days and, if the request applies, carry it out within the following fifteen business days. If you believe your rights were violated, you may go to Mexico's personal data protection authority, currently the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno.
How long I keep it
For as long as we work together, and afterwards for the time required by tax and commercial law. Demonstration call recordings are deleted once they stop being useful to serve you.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published at this same address with its update date at the top.
